Yesterday morning, I took part in a very informative Q&A session about SEO, with the very talented Madeleine Jones, who is the queen of everything Social Media and SEO.
She owns an incredible, and very useful company called ‘Making your business shine’.
This is a platform to learn everything SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)….. I know, sounds totally dull, and I’m not gonna lie, It can be, But only if you don’t know what you are doing!
But that’s where Maddy comes in..
She spends her days guiding and teaching woman like me, that own independent businesses, how to get found. And the information she provides is invaluable!
The Q&A session founds its way onto Blogging.
Now this is something I have become very keen on in the last year or so.
It’s an expressive avenue, I never thought I would enjoy, but turns out I can ramble on quite well.
The discussion got me thinking about when I first started blogging, and how I didn’t have a clue what to talk about.
So, I wanted to share with all you business owners (or anyone else that likes a good rambling session) a list of Blogging ideas that I stumbled across, some time ago, that I have since not been able to live without.
It’s a list that hopefully will spark your imagination, and will become a go to guide when you just can’t think what to write about.

I hope you also find it useful, and beneficial to your business.
Before I go, I just wanted to share 2 more blogging tips with you, that I believe will help you on your way.
Number 1: Blog Regularly.
I know it’s hard, and sometimes I feel I don’t have the energy or the words to express. But trust me, it will be worth it.
And remember the list will help you with this.
If you’re a newbie, or someone that is rediscovering Blogging, then perhaps start with once a month. Then you can increase to twice a month, and then maybe up to once a week.
A lot of the time, ideas come to me when I’m not expecting them, so I quickly write them down on my phone (because let’s face it, we all have them with us, all of the time) then I get it down onto paper at a later date.
Driving traffic to your website is the best form of marketing, and by blogging regularly, this will really help.... Thanks to Maddy for the nugget of info
Number 2: Word Count
Don’t stress yourself too much on word count, just say what you feel, and say what you are thinking, and I guarantee before you know it, you would have written loads!
A tip I was given, was to try your best for 500+ words, to maximise your chances of Google finding you (That is a whole other world, I do not yet understand..ha!)
So that’s it! My little tip guide to you about Blogging.
I hope it helps you all in some way.
If you want to see how the Pro’s do it, then check out this link to Maddy’s Blog on Blogging. It’s definitely worth a read.
The Inside scoop on how to Blog
I’m going to finish with one final tip....and this is me talking,,,
Write what you feel, and most importantly...Be Yourself!
